GCSE Results 2026
Posted on: 20 Aug 2026We’d like to congratulate our Year 11 students on their GCSE results and to recognise all of the hard work and effort that led them to this point.
Thursday 20 August brought many stories of student success. It is never right to single out individuals when so many could be mentioned. However, we would like to congratulate students such as Nicholas, Abed, Charlotte, Mehrab, Zoe, Molly, Emily, Luca, Reina, Spencer and Corinne who can be praised for very impressive results and incredible progress. Well done all.
Today’s celebration is first and foremost about our students’ hard work, resilience, and personal achievements. We are proud that over two-thirds of the cohort secured the national standard in both English and Mathematics, providing a firm foundation for their next steps. With nearly half achieving a strong pass across both core subjects, the vast majority of our young people are moving on to their chosen Sixth Form courses and next steps with confidence. Across our broad curriculum, subjects as diverse as History, Geography, Music and Media Studies all produced very strong results. Elsewhere in the curriculum subjects such as Art, French, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, all saw substantial numbers of students achieve the very highest grades. Within this History, French, Music, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Spanish all achieved grade 9s at twice or three times the proportion expected nationally.
Assistant Headteacher Kate Treacy who worked closely with Year 11 said, ‘Well done, Year 11. Celebrating your success with you today is a wonderful reminder of how far you’ve come through your grit and commitment. It is fantastic to see so many of you staying on for Sixth Form, and to every single one of you moving on to new chapters—thank you for being such a brilliant year group.’
Well done to Year 11 on such strong outcomes which are above national averages, and the result of hard work and dedication from all. Thanks must be paid to their teachers for their care and expertise as well as to families at home for the support provided.
A toast to Year 11, and the brilliant futures that lie ahead.
