ADMISSIONS AND OPEN SESSIONS FOR RECEPTION
SEPTEMBER 2020 ENTRY
(for children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016)
Applications are now open for September 2020 entry. Any family wishing to apply for a Reception place at Dunraven School must complete the Common Application Form (CAF) from your Local Authority. The deadline to submit this form is 15 January 2020. The Dunraven Supplementary Information Form (SIF) also needs to be completed if you are applying under any of the priority admissions criteria of: Looked After Children; Siblings; Medical and/or Social Reasons; Children of Staff at the School. If you are applying for a child out of age group or for deferred entry, you must also submit a SIF to Dunraven School.
Both forms must be submitted by the closing deadline of 15 January 2020.

We are holding Open Sessions for families wishing to apply for Reception for September 2020 entry. The sessions run on a number of dates from October 2019 to January 2020 and are arranged by appointment only. For more information and to register, please click the link below.
Please note the following Key Dates in the application process for Reception 2020 entry:
September 2019: Prospectus and admissions information available from the school and the website and applications begin
Wednesday 15 January 2020: Deadline for submission of the Common Application Form (CAF) to your home Local Authority and the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to Dunraven School (if applicable).
February 2020: Governors’ Admissions Committee review applications received under the Medical/Social criterion
Thursday 16 April 2020: National Offer Day. Local Authorities will notify families of the offer of a school place.
Friday 17 April 2020: Dunraven School will write directly to applicants who have a) been offered a place at the school or b) have not been offered a place and have not been offered a school of a higher preference on their Common Application Form.
April 2020*: Waiting list information available to families upon request. Appeal packs available for those who wish to consider appealing the decision to not offer a school place.
April 2020*: Deadline for return of acceptances to Dunraven School and the Local Authority
April 2020*: Second round offers made for any places not accepted in the first round of offers
June 2020*: Deadline for submission of Appeals
July 2020*: Appeals heard

Applications for Current Reception - Year 6
Applications are now open for In-Year places for current Reception to Year 6 for the 2019-20 academic year.
If you are applying for more than one child, please contact the Dunraven Admissions Office before applying by sending an email with your contact number to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Applications made in the 2018-19 academic year do not carry forward into the 2019-20 academic year. If you have applied previously and not yet been offered a place, you will need to submit a new In-Year application form.
