Welcome

Welcome to Dunraven School.

We were very glad to be designated as a National Teaching School in 2016 as it recognises the effort that the school team puts in to making lessons enjoyable and effective for our young people. Equally, the visit of OFSTED (October 2014) which judged Dunraven as ‘outstanding’ in every category was an important public marker of our on-going journey to achieve ‘Excellence for All’. We're delighted to have played a part in the school’s success but such recognition is the result of the hard work of our staff and students – supported by their families – over time.  Our next challenge is to ensure that Dunraven maintains these high standards as we aim to become an ‘astounding’ school, working with others as we deliver excellence from Reception all the way through to Year 13.

Dunraven is a 4-18, All Through School. This structure offers our children - and their families - a unique educational opportunity as well as the chance for the school to create an exciting and enriched learning experience for all its students.  Our primary team are very excited to be working with our children and look forward to seeing them develop and grow as learners. In our Secondary phase, we will continue to work hard to ensure that we build successfully on those excellent foundations all the way to A level and the life beyond school.

We are clear about the significant responsibility that comes with being the founding school of the Dunraven Educational Trust. We share the Trust’s ambition to ’Share Excellence’ across all of our schools to give the children in our community the best possible preparation for adulthood.  If you come to visit the school, we will offer you a warm welcome and aim to let you see for yourself why we're so proud of our school.

Best wishes on behalf of the students, staff and governors of Dunraven,

Michaela Christian and Guy Maidment
