Careers

Dunraven school is committed to providing a comprehensive careers programme, underpinned by The Gatsby Benchmarks from early years through to Sixth Form. Our aim is to develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for our students to play a full and rewarding role in the workplace. Dunraven has built strong links with employers and our programme includes access to Traineeships, Apprenticeships and T Levels with input from local providers.

Careers resources are regularly updated and accessible for students and teachers through Google Classroom.  Families periodically receive career related articles in the Dunraven News.

We aim to continue the development of links and to build on relationships with families, local businesses, charities, colleges and universities.  If you can offer any provision in delivering careers talks, or careers events in school it would be great to hear from you.  Please contact Ms S Hamilton (Careers Support Worker) at careers@dunraven.det.org.uk, call 0208 696 5618 or fill in the online form if you would like to give feedback on a career event, offer suggestions or have a query.

The Careers Team supports teachers to embed career learning within subjects by providing resources and sharing best practices to support students' employability and career progression.

Please read our Provider Access Statement for more information on the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purposes of giving the information about the provider’s education or training offer.

Career Information

The National Career Service Job Profiles website provides up to date information on the surrounding labour market and possible careers.  Details on the wide range of careers can be accessed via the National Careers Service website.  Please contact Ms Hamilton on careers@dunraven.det.org.uk for details of more websites.

We are using the feedback from students, families and teachers questionnaires with the Compass+ evaluation tool to measure and assess the impact of the careers programme on pupils.
