Admission Banding Test for 2022 Entry - UPDATE

Following the update that was published in July 2021 regarding the admission banding test, a change in arrangements has been agreed for children sitting the test at Dunraven School. To be clear, the information below relates solely to applicants sitting the test at Dunraven School and not the other four schools we share the test arrangements with. Lambeth Academy, Lilian Baylis Technology School, Norwood School and Platanos College are all scheduled to hold their test sittings on Saturday 13 November and will directly contact families who have applied with full details.

We had also planned to hold our admission banding test on Saturday 13 November, however, given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the number of children who normally sit the test at Dunraven, we have taken the decision to hold multiple sittings during the week beginning 15 November instead, with two sessions running on each day. This will mean a smaller number of children attending each session. We will endeavour to invite all children from the same school to the same session to mitigate the impact on lessons and to try to reduce the number of children from different schools who may come into contact with each other. The health and wellbeing of everyone involved is of utmost importance to us and we will do all we can to support this. We will write by post to families who have registered their child to sit the test at Dunraven with full details of their test session nearer the time (and by Monday 8 November).

The shared arrangements remain the same, meaning any child applying to one or more of the five schools that share the test will only need to sit the test once but will need to have submitted a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to each school they wish to apply to. The deadline to submit a SIF is Sunday 31 October. Without this, your child will not be invited to sit the test and this could affect the likelihood of an offer of a place at the school. For more information on the test, please see the Guidelines to Application and Frequently Asked Questions documents available on the page linked below. We thank all families for their patience and will keep applicants updated on any further change in arrangements.
