Public Consultation

Dunraven School was delighted that a fair number of neighbours and families and friends of the school came to the BSF public consultation last week to meet the architects and landscape designers of our new school buildings. The comments were overwhelmingly positive as the sample below indicates:

"I was concerned about outdoor space being reduced, but am happy with the plans. It all looks really good and very enviable."

"An attractive-looking project which will lift the visual aspect of the area"

"Excellent plans. Will be good for the children and staff"

"Very exciting proposals. Lovely design which seems very sensitive to the needs of the students"

"The green spaces round the school are very important - glad they are being looked after!"

A number of neighbours queried the details of outside lighting, access to the back of the school and where trees could be planted along the boundaries. The architects and landscape designers have promised to look into the issues raised.

The Dunraven PTA will be focussing on the impact of BSF on the daily life of the school during their next meeting on Tuesday 18 May, from 18.00 - 19.30. All families are warmly invited to this event.
