Enrichment OpportunitiesAt Dunraven we offer students the opportunity to take part in an Enrichment programme of Creativity, Activity and Service.
Our students are fortunate in having access to facilities at Crystal Palace every Wednesday where they can take part in swimming, diving, trampolining, fitness conditioning, basketball, badminton, football and other seasonal sports such as cricket and tennis. On site we also run table tennis, yoga, street dance and self defence clubs.
Dunraven Sixth Formers also run the Dunraven Magazine and they have the opportunity to take part in a film club, to learn about photography and to take part in life-drawing classes and climate change workshops.
We encourage volunteering in the wider community and some students choose to do placements in local primary schools, care homes, nurseries and charity shops.
Duke of Edinburgh
Many of our year 12 students take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme which sees them go on an expedition out of the city where they get the chance to work as a team planning and following a challenging route.
Sixth formers are also connected to the rest of our school through being literacy or maths mentors to KS3 students, through helping out at school events and through taking part in our junior leadership team or school council.
Our Sixth Form is also able to give young people help with work placements if they have a particular interest. Students have gone on a variety of placements including working in the City, in law firms and in parliament.
