Year 8 History visit to the Houses of Parliament

Posted on: 18 Jan 2018

Last week one of our year eight classes was given the chance to visit Parliament as part of their history module on the impact of the English Civil War and the importance of parliament in Britain.

The class was first given an exemplary tour around Parliament whilst being educated on the rules and regulations surrounding the pinnacle of our everyday society.

Afterwards they received a masterclass workshop on the importance of change in Parliament providing the class the best opportunity possible to share their excellent first hand knowledge whilst working in groups..

The highlight of this trip was meeting Chuka Umunna, the Member of Parliament responsible for representing our constituency, Streatham.

In all fairness I'm glad to say that this day was a complete success.

Ivan, 8D
