    The deadline to submit this form to Dunraven School is Tuesday 31 October 2023. We encourage families to submit it by Friday 20 October to allow us more time to process your Supplementary Information Form (SIF) in order to invite your child to the admission banding test.

    Admission Banding Test

    All applicants to Dunraven School are required to sit an admission banding test on Saturday 18 November 2023 as part of the Fair Banding process. If you are applying to any of the following schools: Dunraven School, Lilian Baylis Technology School, The Norwood School or Platanos College, your child will sit the test only once. Please indicate below the school at which you would like your child to sit the test. YOU MUST HAVE APPLIED TO THAT SCHOOL to be able to sit the test there.

    For the purpose of the admission banding test we try to group children from the same primary school at the same session. If you wish to provide your child's current primary school details, please select from the list below.

    Admission Banding Test Access Arrangements

    The following questions relate to the arrangements for the admission banding test held at Dunraven School only. Some children may need additional support in order to access the test arrangements and we try to accommodate as much as we possibly can within the limitations of the test setting. Any information provided below will only be used for the purpose of access to the admission banding test.     Multiple Applications

    If you are applying for more than one child for Year 7 for 2024 entry (i.e. a twin, triplet, half brother / sister) please indicate below and ensure you submit a separate Supplementary Information Form (SIF) for each child. We will use this information to try and allocate the children to the same test session.

    Oversubscription Criteria

    If you would like your application to be considered under ANY of the priority oversubscription criteria of Looked After Children, Siblings, Medical/Social Reasons or Children of Staff, a reminder that you must submit the appropriate evidence/information with your Common Application Form (CAF) and to Dunraven's admissions team using the section below. Please see the school's admissions policy for full details of the oversubscription criteria.

  • Looked After Child (LAC)

    A child in the care of a Local Authority or provided with accommodation by a Local Authority in the exercise of their social services functions; a child that was previously looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order; or a child that was in state care outside of England and ceased to be so as a result of being adopted.

    Is a brother or sister currently on roll at Dunraven School and are they expected to still be on roll in September 2024?

    Medical/Social Reasons

    Do you consider your child to have an exceptional medical or social need which can only be met by Dunraven School? Medical/Social applications must be supported by at least 2 forms of written professional evidence, for example from registered health professionals or social workers. Your evidence must be clear as to why Dunraven School is the most suitable school and what difficulties would occur if the child had to go elsewhere.
